All customers must fill out our liability release waiver completely before stepping aboard the boat.
Even if you aren’t planning on getting in the water, all passengers on board must have a waiver on file each season.
A parent or guardian must fill out the waiver for any participant less than 18 years of age.

When you book, everything is included in the flat-rate fee for the time you selected. That is the total price, not per person. If picked up from dock on Candlewood Lake, we have implemented a Travel Time dependent upon location.
All boat safety and watersports equipment are included in the price of the lesson.
If you are more comfortable with your own gear, that’s cool too. Bring it with you!

Booking:
Lessons are scheduled through our self-service online booking system located HERE.
A credit card is required at time of booking to hold your appointment. We charge a 50% deposit.
Upon booking you will receive a Booking Confirmation email of your appointment date and time. (Please make sure you receive an email, because not receiving emails still holds you liable for payments)
7 Days before your appointment you will receive a reminder E-mail that your 50% Deposit becomes non-refundable 5 Days before your appointment.
48 hours before day of your appointment start time you will receive a Reminder email of your upcoming appointment, and your card will have already been charged for remaining balance due for the appointment.
The balance due after deposit becomes due and will be charged to the credit card used at the time of initial booking at 12:01 am Eastern Time the day before the date of your appointment, so your session will have been paid in full prior to the day of your appointment. This minimizes time spent at the dock on administrative issues which can potentially reduce time spent on the boat. Please ensure a valid credit card is available for the balance payment. In the event payment for the remaining balance cannot be effected by 2:00 pm Eastern Time the day before your appointment, Lakeside Watersports LLC reserves the right to cancel your appointment with no return of the previously non-refundable deposit.
We will assume that all lessons will launch from our location at Echo Bay Marina unless otherwise instructed.
If you are located on the lake we can drive our boat to your location. Lakeside Watersports has a Travel Time for appointments that request a pickup at a house with dock access on Candlewood Lake. The Travel Time Schedule based on address is as follows:
Sherman/New Milford: 15 Minutes
New Fairfield: 10 Minutes
Danbury: 10 Minutes
Brookfield: 10 Minutes
If you are a lake pickup, please understand that your appointment may start a few minutes after the scheduled start time to allow the staff time to drive to and locate your address on the lake. Please be patient and wait on your dock, wave to us when you see our boats getting close, so that we know where to go to pick you up.
Make sure to add a note when you are booking to let us know that you are a pickup. Things to note:
Where you are located on Candlewood Lake
How many people in your party and their sizes (Infant, Child, Teenager, Adult)
What activities you would like to do during that appointment.
Cancellation Policy:
All cancellations of Lakeside Watersports appointments for sessions are completed online at www.lakesidewatersports.com. No cancellations will be accepted by other means (phone, email, text, etc.).
For appointments cancelled more than 5 Days prior to the day of your appointment, you will be entitled to a 100% refund of your deposit. As previously stated under Deposit and Payment Policies above, if you cancel your appointment 5 or less days prior to the day of your appointment, your deposit is non-refundable and will be forfeited with NO EXCEPTIONS.
Cancellations by Lakeside Watersports due to, among others, weather, equipment issues, scheduling/employee issues or otherwise are made in the sole discretion of Lakeside. In such event, customer shall be entitled to a 100% refund of amounts already paid for the Lakeside cancelled appointment if cancelled in advance by Lakeside. In the event Lakeside needs to cancel a session during an appointment due to reasons stated above in this section customer will be entitled to a refund for that part of the shortened session missed.
Safety:
Lakeside Watersports reserves the right to close all operations for lightning or any other form of severe weather at our discretion. We will do our best to notify our appointments if the weather is threatening.
Safe Boating, First Aid and CPR certified Lakeside Watersports staff members are the only people who will be driving the vessel throughout the duration of your appointment.
The Boat Driver/Captain reserves the right to terminate a lesson if they feel there are any unsafe circumstances at play (including but not limited to severe weather, boat traffic, impaired customers).
No alcohol of any kind will be permitted on the boat at any time. Watersports take a lot of athletic effort, we require that you not be impaired in any way when attempting to enjoy time on the water with us.
No dogs allowed on the boat. We love pets, but sometimes pets aren’t so friendly to our boats. Please make arrangements to keep them at home.
