Frequently asked questions.
The short version: we are not running boats this season. Here is what that means, where to get on Candlewood Lake instead, and what we do now. Still stuck? Get in touch.
Is Lakeside Watersports running boat sessions in 2026?
No. Lakeside Watersports is not running charters, lessons, tubing, cruises, captain service, or lake pickups for the 2026 season, and we are not taking bookings. Thank you to the thousands of people who rode with us.
Can I still book a lesson, charter, or tubing session?
No. Online booking is closed and there is no 2026 schedule or waiting list. If you have a question about a past booking, reach us at 203-744-9884 and we will sort it out.
Where can I rent a boat on Candlewood Lake now?
Echo Bay Marina in Brookfield rents boats through October. Lakeside readers save 10 percent on weekday rentals, Monday through Friday, with code LAKESIDE10. Weekends are not included in the offer.
What happened to Lakeside Watersports?
After years of running Candlewood Lake's watersports program, founder Connor Kostyra moved to the other side of lake life: helping people buy, sell, and rent homes on Candlewood, backed by RE/MAX Rise. The watersports pages stay up as part of the story.
Do you still offer captain service or lake pickups?
No. Captain service, dock pickups, and watersports instruction are part of the Lakeside history now, not services we offer for the 2026 season.
Will Lakeside Watersports come back?
We are not taking bookings and we have not announced a return. These pages stay up as a record of what we built on this lake, and the crew is still here for anything Candlewood related.
Can you help me buy or sell on Candlewood Lake?
Yes, that is the business now. Connor Kostyra is a licensed Connecticut agent with RE/MAX Rise, working Candlewood waterfront, lake access, and community homes across New Milford, New Fairfield, Brookfield, Sherman, and Danbury.
Do you handle Candlewood Lake rentals?
Yes. We handle seasonal and annual lake home rentals through RE/MAX Rise, both for renters who want a summer on the water and for owners who want to list their lake home.
How do I reach you?
Reach us at 203-744-9884, or send a note through the contact page. Email is best for detailed questions.
Still want the lake?
A day on the water ends. A dock behind the house does not.
