As the only Owner & Operator of this seasonal business, I spend all year long working hard towards providing you with an experience like no other on Candlewood Lake. My passion and love for boating drive my strong desire to run one of the most influential water sports & boating instruction companies in the nation.
At Lakeside Watersports, we're not a corporate company. And while it may seem like that at times, I wear every “hat” at this company.
In the past, we used to open our schedule on a specific date and time for everyone to book at once. We believed it was the most equitable way to do things, but unfortunately, it only led to more confusion and chaos. The schedule filled up quickly, and many people were unable to get the times they wanted. Moreover, I found it overwhelming to handle all of the customer support calls. To address these challenges, we have implemented a Priority Booking Membership system. This method ensures that everyone has an equal chance to book without having to call and argue why they should be given priority before the schedule opens. I am committed to running an ethical business. I believe that this universal standard is the most fair and transparent way to operate. So, I encourage you to become a Priority Booking Member to streamline the booking process and ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to book. I've created these Priority Booking Memberships for a reason - to help you secure the dates and times that you want, and to ensure that you have an official tentative plan with us for the 2023 season before we are booked.
I understand that it's still cold in the northeast, and most of you aren't even fully thinking about the summer yet, let alone a specific day and time you want to go boating. But, I want you to take a second to think about those hot summer days when all you want to do is something fun on the lake with your family and friends, but our boats may be booked up already. With our memberships, you can book your appointments in advance and have peace of mind knowing that your spot is secured. The purpose of implementing our new software system is to provide you with complete access to your appointments by enabling you to log in. With this system, you can book, cancel, and even request refunds for your appointments through our website. This also means that if you adhere to our Terms & Conditions, you can create as many provisional plans as you desire on the schedule. You can request a refund at your convenience, and rest assured that we are committed to making the process as easy and convenient as possible for you.
Last year was our first year operating, and it was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who came out with us, and we hope we gave you the best experience! We are now able to expand to two boats, and this year we've doubled our team with some of the best Drivers & Instructors on Candlewood Lake. You'll always have an advanced instructor on the boats, providing you with a new level of professionalism and instruction. It’s only getting better from here. I've witnessed the grey areas we had last year, and the lack of consistent Policies. That's no more, and why everything for this summer will be black and white in the way we operate in our Terms & Conditions.
With our new booking software, everything is completely automated for efficiency. You will have the capability to log in and manage all aspects of your account, including requesting refunds for any upcoming weekend that you decide not to join us (although I think that's a crazy idea!). So we both aren't wasting time chasing each other on emails or phone calls.
